Our Local-First Philosophy
Syntax Labs builds serverless, privacy-first software tools for digital professionals. Our products are designed around a single principle: your data belongs to you.
We do not operate user databases. We do not store, collect, or transmit any personal information, uploaded documents, parsed files, clipboard contents, or financial data through our servers — because, for our core web utilities, there are no servers involved in processing your work.
When you use DocStamp, TableMask, DataSplitter, or TableXport, the entire workflow happens on your device. We cannot access what you create, edit, or export.
In-Memory Processing
Tools such as DataSplitter, DocStamp, and TableMask process all files and data directly within your browser's memory (RAM). Your spreadsheets, PDFs, and tables are read locally, transformed locally, and remain on your machine.
Nothing is uploaded to Syntax Labs infrastructure for processing. Your data never leaves your local machine during normal use of these utilities. When you close the browser tab, in-memory data is discarded by your browser according to its own security model.
Third-Party Services
We do not sell, rent, or share user information with third parties — because we do not possess it in the first place. Our local-first architecture eliminates the data broker model entirely.
Our static website may be hosted on services such as Vercel. If enabled, we may use standard, anonymized traffic analytics (for example, Vercel Analytics) to understand aggregate page views and performance. These tools are configured to avoid collecting personally identifiable information (PII), and they do not receive the contents of files you process in our utilities.
Third-party links (such as social profiles) are governed by their respective privacy policies when you leave our site.
Waitlist & Contact
If you join a product waitlist (such as Spendly) or contact us directly, we will only use the information you voluntarily provide — typically an email address — to communicate about that specific product. We will not add you to unrelated marketing lists without consent.
