Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Syntax Labs tools — including DocStamp, TableMask, DataSplitter, TableXport, and the Spendly waitlist — you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of our products and website.

These terms apply to all current and future utilities published under the Syntax Labs brand, whether delivered as web applications, browser extensions, or native mobile apps.

License & Usage

Syntax Labs grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use our web utilities and related software for personal and professional purposes, subject to these terms and applicable law.

Fair use applies. You may not:

  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code except where expressly permitted by law;
  • Scrape, crawl, or maliciously overload our web infrastructure or hosting endpoints;
  • Use our tools to process unlawful content or violate the rights of third parties;
  • Resell, sublicense, or white-label our utilities without written permission.

We reserve the right to restrict access if we detect abuse, automated attacks, or behavior that degrades service availability for other users.

Disclaimer of Warranties

Our core utilities run locally in your browser and many are provided free of charge. Syntax Labs software is offered "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation, error-free output, or compatibility with every browser, operating system, or third-party application. Syntax Labs is not liable for data loss, corruption, or formatting issues arising from browser limitations, third-party software crashes (including spreadsheet row limits in tools like Excel), or user error during export or import workflows.

You are solely responsible for maintaining backups of important files before processing them with any utility.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Syntax Labs and its founders shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of — or inability to use — our tools, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Intellectual Property

All software design, product names, logos, copy, and branding displayed on this website and within our applications are the intellectual property of Syntax Labs unless otherwise noted. Unauthorized use of our trademarks or visual identity is prohibited.

You retain full ownership of the content and files you create or process using our tools. We claim no rights over your data.

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms of Service at any time as we roll out new local-first utilities, browser extensions, or mobile applications. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page.

Continued use of Syntax Labs products after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
